Prophecy about Earth’s destruction

When Katun 9Ahau shall come; everyone shall have to accept the teachings. When the right day shall come… without abandoning them in the last days of the catastrophe, within the last days of binding bundles of the 13^th katun from 4 Ahau, then the end of the world shall come and our ancestors’ katun shall rise again.

The end of every Maya era or of every sun is marked by a great natural catastrophe. The actual era, or the fifth sun shall end in 2012 and it’s predicted that Earth shall be shaken by extremely powerful quakes, the volcanoes shall erupt and all these shall have harsh side effects. It is possible that this catastrophe to be produced by a comet or it can be a longer ecological deterioration process; either of these must be considered as our planet is in great danger.

Among the predicted causes of a catastrophe that could endanger Earth, the impact of a comet is a concrete possibility, nevertheless, we must remember that while some elements of this prophecy emphasize a great catastrophe, this is just a possibility. Others are associated with local natural phenomena. The message of this prophecy is that although the abrupt end of the Earth is less possible, people shall have to face the consequences of planet’s deterioration. Most of the Mayas learners do not sustain the idea that the end of the Earth is coming but there is a consensus that it shall be a difficult period, of “Chaos and destruction”.
