Prophecies about Earth’s changes, ecology and weather

The earth’s surface shall move. How people can defend, so troubled on this Earth, in the sculptural land of Ichcansiho…after the signs above the Earth and those transmitted by the prophets, the Earth’s troubles shall reappear.

Chilam Balam from Tizimin (Makemson)

The Mayas foresee the moment of conflict between us and the nature. Knowing that this period coincides with Saturn-Pluton cycle, they also predicted that this conflict between people and nature shall be a feature of the period we are now crossing. The prophecy warns us about the pollution effects that constantly degenerates the Earth, including air, water, sand, soil and all those elements that sustain life. Despite spiritual crises that we have to face, the prophecy foresees an optimistic message, meaning it foresees the regaining of the harmony feeling between people and nature, in our continuous struggle to resolve these problems.

The prophecy emphasizes the exploitation of the Earth and the way people pollute the biosphere as features for the period up to 2012. Opinions regarding the measure of contribution of the evolution of technology, science influence to global warning are different considering that climate changes can be a natural part of the transformations which occur on Terra at very long periods. Should we relate these transformations to Mayas astronomy, we can say that Earth entered the final phase or in the Katun’s Long Phase between 1992-2012, a period that leads to Earth’s and Milky Way conjunction. The Mayas see this period as a period of regeneration for the Earth when, as a result of this conjunction, the planet shall experience a new and complete state of purity and completion. We can only hope so to be.
